Aromatherapy & Essential Oils
Today I want to discuss using essential oils internally for natural health and wellness. Only Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) essential oils should be consumed and I only recommend doTERRA CPTG Essential Oils for internal consumption. doTERRA Essential Oils are tested rigorously by a third party for purity and potency to ensure they are of the safest therapeutic grade oils possible, and considered to be better than organic. CPTG essential oils can be consumed internally to benefit the body in a positive way.
Adding 2-3 drops of Lemon essential oil not only makes drinking those 8 glasses of water a day taste great, but also gently detoxifies your body as well. For an upset tummy Peppermint can work wonders when taken internally. Add 1-2 drops of Peppermint to a small amount of water (think shot glass) and drink or add those drops to an empty veggie cap and swallow like a vitamin to aid that upset tummy. Other uses include placing a drop directly under the tongue, use essential oils in your favorite recipes, and even taking doTERRA essential oil supplements.
There are a myriad of uses with many essential oils that are approved as GRAS. The FDA has approved some essential oils as GRAS, which means Generally Recognized As Safe for human consumption. Most of doTERRA’s CPTG Essential Oils are approved as GRAS and a nutrition label is placed on these particular oils.
Taking essential oils internally is just another amazing way to benefit the body in a natural way!
